The Rick Steves audio tour starts off with the staircase with the lion statue. Skipping ahead to one of the most famous statue the 13 feet tall Toro Farnese, sculpted in the 3rd Century. In the 1500s Michelangelo (among others) was hired to restore the statue. The Farnese Hercules is located at the other end of the room from Toro Farnese. The also pictured is a scale model of Pompeii. Don’t forget to look up at the ceilings.
